Welcome to our new site!

We are the Orthodox Christian Mission group of St. Anthony’s Orthodox Church in Butler, PA.

 Merry Christmas!

We wish you and yours a blessed Nativity Season.

Now, we hope you can take a break from the hustle and bustle and join us for our Advent (Christmas) Gathering at the Adams Ridge Clubhouse at 100 Adams Ridge Boulevard, in Mars, PA from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

YOU ARE INVITED: On December 21st, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm, we are gathering and ‘bringing it all together’ to reflect on Christ’s birth and share our blessings and prayers with one another in friendship.  Come and join us and share some holiday cheer at our Lenten party. Let us be thankful and eat with prayer in our hearts (Nativity Fast). We look forward to singing a few Christmas carols, playing games, and sharing good food and cider as we come together for a brief evening prayer service to prepare for Christ’s coming as the light of the world. And…

HELP US HELP LOCAL FAMILIES IN NEED: In this great time of sharing, we hope you will help us support two local foundations: The Lighthouse Foundation and Toys for Tots. As we gather on December 21st, we ask that you bring two toys and two canned foods as donations to these two local organizations. Our Church will deliver all that we collect to these foundations to help families in need in Butler and Allegheny Counties. What to bring? We hope you are able to bring 2 inexpensive toys and 2 canned foods. (If you can’t join us or stay for our evening party, simply drop off your two unexpired canned foods and two toys at the Adams Ridge Clubhouse between 5:00pm and 8:00pm).

AND: Stay tuned for updates on our community outreach, almsgiving, worship services, and bible studies beginning in 2018.

Blessings to you!

The Nativity of the Lord: “Today the Virgin gives birth to the Transcendent One, and the earth presents a cave to the Unapproachable One. Angels with shepherds give Him glory; wise men follow a star as they journey to Him who is God from all ages, yet for our sake is born as a little child”
